Day 10 Friday July 15

Today we visited the catacombs of San Callisto, the biggest underground burial site in Rome, which is formed of several areas separated by tunnels. Ever since the III century this was the most important Christian burial place of Rome, that housed many tombs of Popes and Martyrs. Afterwards Taylor, Kaitlin, Kayla, Dawn, Joe, John and I took the train to Sorrento. The ride was an experience to say the least, as we were crammed in a train car for the first two hours, but we still managed to have a great time. We then took the subway train from Naples to Sorrento. Once we arrived we walked to our hostel, Le Sirene. The hostel wasn't anything fancy but adequate. We then headed to the grocery store to buy food for the weekend where we brought fresh bread, pesto, prosciutto and mozzarella which we had for dinner. Afterwards we all went down to the bar beneath out hostel for drinks and then moved on to the down town area where we stopped at an outdoor venue called The English Garden Inn. We stayed there the majority of the night before making it home around 3.
